Homelessness Week 2021 occurs from August 1st – 7th and is designed to bring attention to the increasing number of Australians experiencing homelessness and to call on the government to implement the solutions to this crisis.
As part of homelessness week, the Statewide Children’s Resource Program (SCRP) will be distributing a different resource each day with the aim of raising the profile of infants, children and young people living without a home.
Today’s resource is ‘Flowers in our garden‘. This was developed by the SCRP in conjunction with children of all ages to highlight their experiences of living without a home. Hearing from the children in their own voices shows the unique experiences that they have in an adult centric system and how their needs and priorities can be very different.
