Marram Nganyin Aboriginal Youth Mentoring Program

By 11/10/2021No Comments

Marram Nganyin Aboriginal Youth Mentoring Program has been operating in Victoria since 2016-17 providing funding to deliver strengths-based and community-led primary prevention and early intervention mentoring initiatives.

The program supports Aboriginal young people to be healthy and well, to be confident and strong in their identity and culture, and to achieve their goals through education, training and employment. Aboriginal organisations are encouraged to apply to deliver local mentoring programs that are designed and delivered in collaboration with Aboriginal young people. This model recognises that Aboriginal organisations are best placed to understand the needs of Aboriginal communities.

Each program is expected to mentor at least 15 Aboriginal young people aged 12 -25 years for an 18-month period and provide regular contact between mentees and their mentor

Service delivery will take place between 1 January 2022 – 30 June 2023.

More information is provided in the Marram Nganyin Aboriginal Youth Mentoring Program 2022-2023 Grant Guidelines.

A series of webinars are available to support community organisations in their project planning and application process. Please register below:
