Victorian Auditor General’s Report on Rough Sleeper Action Plan

The Victorian Auditor General’s Office (VAGO) Report into Victoria’s Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Action Plan (HRSAP) highlights the fact that only 31 out of 429 clients of the program were able to be housed for longer than 12 weeks.

The findings of the report make it clear that reducing homelessness requires both the Victorian and Federal Governments to invest in significant growth in social housing, because without access to housing, there’s no way people can escape homelessness.
