Victorian Paramedics, KidSafe Vic and the Better Health Channel have launched the Never Leave Kids in Cars and Survive the Heat Campaigns which warns parents of the dangers of leaving children in the car, even for an instant.
In 2020, Paramedics responded to 1410 callouts to people locked in vehicles- 144 of them last month. The majority of these incidents shockingly involve children and babies aged up to three.
Never Leave Kids in Cars Campaign prompts parents to take their kids with them whenever they get out of the car, just as they do their everyday valuables, to avoid potentially tragic consequences.
