With the COVID-19 vaccination roll-out about to begin, VCOSS has organised a critical sector briefing with key representatives of Victoria’s COVID-19 Immunisation Program team.
The briefing will occur on Zoom Wednesday 24th February from 11:30am – 1pm.
Professor Benjamin Cowie and Jade Hart, both currently seconded to the Department of Health to help run the immunisation program, will run us through:
- The vaccine roll-out strategy
- Preparations to date
- The locations vaccines will be administered
- Priority cohorts — aged care and disability care residents, healthcare workers, quarantine staff, etc.
There will also be time for you to ask your questions.
We’re particularly awareof the need for information about the roll-out to be clear and accessible for all members of the Victorian community, but especially at-risk groups. This event will also help inform government’s understanding of the needs of different communities, and the central role frontline community organisations can play in the vaccine roll-out.
