Training for new SHS practitioners

The new year is a perfect time to enrol your new practitioners in CHP’s Introduction to SHS Practice training seminar. Our Learning and Development team will next be running this one day course in person in Melbourne’s CBD on Wednesday 7 February, and bookings are open now.

Designed specifically for practitioners with less than 6 months experience, Introduction to SHS Practice presents the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to provide practical support to people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. Guided by our expert team and an instructor with lived experience of homelessness, participants will leave the day with a solid understanding of the sector’s dynamics and vital insights into the best practices for assisting people experiencing homelessness.

Delivery: In-person (VDC – Collins Street Melbourne)
Date: Wednesday, 7th February 2024
Time: 9.30 am – 4.30 pm
Trainer: Council to Homeless Persons & the Peer Education Support Program
Cost: $150
