9 February – Trauma-informed practice 1: The impact of trauma. A full-day in-person training exploring the impact of trauma on an individual level, looking at the impact on the brain, the body, relationships, and identity. Trainer: Dr Erin Holloway
29 February – Supervision skills in practice guidance. A full-day in-person session outlining how supervision can be both meaningful and enhances best practice by ensuring organisational standards and practices are adhered to. Trainer New Beginnings (Kerry Marshall)
26 March – Difficult and Necessary Conversations. A full-day virtual session to better understand and demonstrate the skills, techniques, and models for having difficult and necessary conversations. Trainer: Fighting Fair (Scott Dutton)
Featured eLearning modules
The SHS Learning Hub also has a range of eLearning available for all SHS workers, students and allied services at no cost. To register for eLearns, login to the SHS Learning Hub, click the eLearn Courses tab at the top of the screen and then “Add to My Training”. You can return to your My Training dashboard to continue the eLearn whenever you wish.
Person Centred Practice. This eLearn is about positive things we can do, how we listen to people’s experiences and collaborate with people seeking housing support, and working in ways that uphold human rights and dignity.
MARAM and Family Violence – The SHS Learning Hub hosts a range of MARAM and FV eLearns, including Family Violence Concepts, MARAM and the Information Sharing Schemes, and MARAM Tools in SHIP.
Looking After Yourself – CHP has developed this self-care and workforce wellbeing program for SHS workers and students who are working or intend to work in the sector.
